CEBU — The Cebu City Sports Commission is calling on young jiu-jitsu athletes to try out for the official Cebu City Niños team. The squad will represent the city at the Batang Pinoy 2026 National Championships, scheduled for December 12-18 in Bacolod City.
A Chance to Represent Cebu City
The tryouts are open to male and female athletes aged 8 to 15 years old who are residents of Cebu City. The selection will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 9:00 A.M. The venue is Studio 32 Martial Arts, located on the 2nd Floor of Baseline Center on Juana Osmeña Street.
This is a grassroots initiative to identify and develop local combat sports talent. The program provides young Cebuano athletes a platform to compete at the national level. More importantly, it instills values of sportsmanship, discipline, and perseverance.
