The #eGilas national team is representing the Philippines at the eFIBA World Finals Season 4, which takes place on July 3-4, 2026, at the Mall of Qatar in Doha. The squad is backed by the Laus Group of Companies, featuring top players from the Laus Group Esports Team (LGET). Team manager Paul Laus, a member of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas - SBP Board of Trustees, has expressed confidence in the team's capability to compete against the eight participating nations.
Tournament Format and Prize Pool Details
The competition, played on the NBA 2K platform, features eight teams divided into two groups. #eGilas is in Group A alongside Algeria, France, and Germany, while Group B consists of host nation Qatar, the Dominican Republic, Lebanon, and Türkiye. The tournament offers a USD 50,000 prize pool, with the champions receiving USD 20,000, the runners-up USD 10,000, third place USD 6,000, and fourth place USD 4,000. Individual awards include Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Tournament, each worth USD 2,500. Fans can watch the event live on the eFIBA YouTube Channel or through the official eFIBA website.
