The DOT-III has scheduled key initiatives across the province, including the Filipinization Branding Training, a free two-day capacity-building workshop on September 2–3 aimed at integrating vibrant Filipino culture into the hospitality industry. The training targets owners and managers of accredited hotels, resorts, and restaurants in Central Luzon. Meanwhile, the Pampanga Heritage Tour Site Validation will assess regional landmarks for a curated tour intended for arriving cruise passengers, focusing on culinary and cultural heritage across Mexico, Angeles City, and the City of San Fernando. The month-long celebration will culminate with the Porac Tourism Expo on September 30, hosted at the Porac Municipal Hall, with the theme "Transforming Tourism Through Sustainability," highlighting eco-tourism advancements and independent travel networks.
Regional Tourism Hubs and Key Developments
The City of San Fernando, as the provincial capital and regional center, is also officially nominated for the 2026 World Travel Awards and recently hosted the vanguard run of the region's Halal and Muslim-Friendly Tourism Training. These initiatives, alongside the upcoming celebrations, reflect Central Luzon's growing role as a premier tourism destination, driven by a commitment to innovation, cultural preservation, and inclusive growth.
