CHICAGO, Illinois – Homes.ph wishes the best of luck to the Officers of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® as they are about to begin their term for 2026-2027 in October, determined and ready to meet their objectives with definite goals and unwavering commitment.

The association has announced the new president, Vicky Silvano, who will take office in the coming term, with the newly elected president expected to assume her post in October. Through an announcement, the new president expressed her appreciation and humbleness in accepting the post, which she considered an important landmark marked by trials and progress.

Mentorship and resilience journey

The newly elected president paid tribute to the mentors and industry colleagues who inspired confidence in taking up the position, noting that their faith has played a crucial role in getting there.

“I’m honored and truly grateful to begin a new chapter in my leadership journey as next year’s Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) President,” the incoming president said. “This journey has had its ups and downs, but it has shaped me into the leader I am today. To all the leaders who have tapped and encouraged me to step up, thank you!”

Collaboration through industry challenges

It is undeniable that the real estate industry has gone through some tough times within the past couple of years. Amidst all these problems, the newly elected president of CAR pointed out the significance of working together. It became clear to her that working together with people from different backgrounds helped realize the importance of discussing issues and making decisions jointly.

“It’s been a challenging few years for our industry, and I’ve learned so much through working with dedicated colleagues who bring different perspectives, experiences, and voices to the table,” the incoming president said. “Those conversations have shaped me deeply—they’ve reminded me that progress comes from listening well, staying open, and always keeping the people we serve at the center of every decision.”

A leadership style rooted in listening and service

According to the statement, these experiences have underscored a leadership approach centered on listening, continuous learning, and prioritizing the needs of the communities served. The incoming president also stressed a commitment to fostering unity and progress within the organization.

“Thank you for the trust and support—it means more than I can express. I step into this role with humility, a willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to support, listen, and grow alongside all of you,” the incoming president said. “I’m excited for what we will build together for our members and our community.”

Looking ahead to October

This change signals a return to collaboration and growth as the Chicago Association of Realtors prepares for the upcoming change in leadership in October. The message sent by the incoming president is filled with optimism and determination to collaborate closely with CAR members. This commitment seeks to assist in building a more cohesive real estate community.
