The Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBL) has officially welcomed four new board-certified specialists to its Head and Neck Surgery department, expanding access to advanced ear, nose, and throat care for Kapampangans. The medical professionals recently cleared the rigorous specialty examinations administered by the Philippine Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (PBOHNS), the premier certifying body for ENT specialists in the country.
Meet JBL's New ENT Diplomates
The four newly minted diplomates are Dr. Sir Francois Dimaliwat, Dr. Camille Cruz-Pantig, Dr. Kirsten Alexandra Merritt, and Dr. Nicole Alethea Sarmiento . These medical professionals have completed extensive residency and specialty training, allowing them to provide advanced medical and surgical care for disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck . Their addition to the JBL roster is a significant boost to the hospital's capacity to serve the growing healthcare needs of the province, particularly in specialized fields that often require patients to travel to Metro Manila.
A Commitment to Quality and Accessible Care
JBL Hospital's Head and Neck Surgery department's expansion is a testament to the institution's commitment to bringing quality specialist care closer to Kapampangans. PBOHNS, the certifying body that administered the board examinations, is recognized for its rigorous standards in ensuring that ENT specialists are fully competent to provide high-level care. The addition of these four diplomates not only strengthens JBL's medical team but also aligns with the provincial government's broader efforts under Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda's administration to improve healthcare access for all residents. With these new specialists on board, patients in Pampanga can now access advanced ENT and head and neck surgical services without the need for long and costly travel to Manila.
