TACLOBAN CITY — Coffee enthusiasts and aspiring baristas across Eastern Visayas are invited to showcase their manual brewing skills at the Leyte Brew Battle, taking place on September 30, 2026, as a headline event of the Leyte Coffee and Chocolate Festival 2026.
Competition Format and Key Participant Details
Hosted at the Level 1 Expansion Area of Robinsons Tacloban, the competition offers local brewers a stage to demonstrate precision, extraction technique, and coffee craftsmanship:
Open and Free Access: Entry is completely free and open to all coffee lovers regardless of professional background or experience level, capped strictly at 27 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
National Pathway Opportunities: The tournament champion will earn a Plaque of Recognition, special gift tokens, and an opportunity to qualify for national-level brewing competitions organized by Farm to Cup Philippines, the Philippine Craft Brewers Association, the Philippine Coffee Brewers League, and the Korean Coffee Association.
Participant Requirements: Competitors are required to supply their own complete brewing equipment and coffee kits for tournament play.
