MAKATI CITY — Jobseekers in Makati gained easier access to employment opportunities and essential support services as the Makati Public Employment Service Office (PESO) held a job fair at the Bangkal Community Complex. The event was organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment-NCR (DOLE-NCR), Barangay Bangkal, DZXL News, and the Social Security System (SSS). Ten local employers took part in the activity, collectively offering 340 job vacancies to qualified applicants.
Convenient Employment Services in One Location
Aside from recruitment opportunities, the job fair provided One-Stop-Shop services intended to make the application process more convenient for participants. Jobseekers were able to access SSS assistance and free resume printing services from PESO at the venue. Through these services, applicants were given practical resources and assistance as they pursued employment and better livelihood opportunities. The involvement of DOLE-NCR and other partner agencies also helped provide more comprehensive support throughout the activity.
Bringing Job Opportunities Closer to the Community
The Makati City Government, through PESO, continues to prioritize initiatives that connect residents with potential employers and accessible employment services. The job fair forms part of the city's broader efforts to help address unemployment while contributing to local economic growth. By bringing recruitment activities directly to communities such as Bangkal, Makati PESO provides residents with more convenient access to job placement opportunities, government assistance, and other services that can help them move closer to sustainable employment.
