CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, PAMPANGA - The CIAC Paws & Claws Pet Wellness Day successfully served over 100 dogs and cats on August 22, 2026, at the CIAC covered parking lot in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, bringing essential veterinary services to beloved pets in the community. The wellness drive brought together veterinarians and staff from the Pampanga Provincial Veterinary Office, led by Dr. Jasmin Manlutac; the Angeles City Veterinary Office, headed by Dr. Mario Samson; and the Mabalacat City Veterinary Office under Dr. Abel Canlas, creating a united front for animal health and welfare.
Free Services and Expert Care for Pets
The fur babies received basic veterinary care, including rabies and parvovirus vaccinations, deworming, consultations, grooming and feeding guidance, as well as tips on proper pet care and behavior. Castration services were also provided to help control the pet population and promote responsible ownership . The activity was part of the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) Corporate Social Responsibility program promoting responsible pet ownership and awareness of the Animal Welfare Act under Republic Act No. 8485 . Rabies remains a significant public health concern in the Philippines, and free vaccination drives like this play a vital role in protecting both pets and the community by achieving the immunization coverage needed for community-level protection against the disease.
