Manila Water Company and Soliman EC Septic Tank Disposal, a San Fernando, Pampanga-based waste management firm, have formed a strategic partnership to enhance household sanitation and wastewater management, benefiting over 1.2 million households across Metro Manila and Rizal,
Partnership Goals and Scope
The partnership aims to augment desludging capacity by deploying Soliman EC's specialized fleet of vacuum trucks and technical personnel. The collaboration will also expand the reach of Manila Water's Sanitasyon Para sa Barangay program across 23 cities and municipalities in the East Zone franchise area. Frequent septic tank siphoning reduces pollution loads draining into local waterways, supporting the long-term rehabilitation of Manila Bay. Soliman EC, which began as a small septic tank disposal company in Pampanga with one truck, now operates over 300 trucks and has more than 400 employees in 11 branches nationwide, positioning it as an industry leader in waste management.
Operational Footprint and Customer Guidelines
The collaboration leverages Soliman EC's established residential wastewater approach, with active arrangements across Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and other regions. The company operates dedicated local branches in Pasay City and Quezon City, and also provides sewage treatment operations in Leyte and Cagayan de Oro . For seamless household collection, customers are advised to coordinate with their local barangay office to check their community's maintenance schedule. Homeowners should ensure their septic tank's cleanout cover is accessible before the vacuum truck arrives. The baseline siphoning service is covered under standard sanitation fees and does not require separate private service payments.
