MAKATI CITY — Ayala Museum is inviting guests to trade their typical evening plans for a museum experience that blends education with entertainment. On November 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the museum will host “Tagay! Night,” a spirited event inspired by its ongoing exhibition, “Turning Tides: Maritime Encounters and Exchanges of Power.” The evening is designed to explore Philippine history through the lens of local drinking culture. It offers a fresh, social way to engage with the museum’s collections after hours.
A Spirited Journey Through History
The centerpiece of the evening is a talk by exhibition curator Jei Ente, who will discuss local drinking practices as documented in 16th- and 17th-century colonial accounts. Following the talk, guests can enjoy a curated selection of drinks crafted by Makati’s renowned cocktail bars, The Curator Coffee & Cocktails and El Gato. The event also features raffles and minigames, adding a layer of playful interaction to the evening. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the past while enjoying the present.
Ticket Tiers and Venue Guidelines
To ensure a smooth experience, the Full Admission ticket includes gallery access, free concessions, and exactly three pre-allocated drink stubs: one for The Curator, one for El Gato, and one for a signature GSM drink. Alternatively, the Event Admission-Only option provides entry and gallery access without the beverage stubs. A limited Barkada Pass is also available for groups of four. Guests should note that the event is strictly for ages 18 and above, requiring a valid photo ID for entry.
