A Citywide Youth Leadership Selection

BACOLOD - The assembly gathered more than 40 barangays, with each participating community sending child representatives to take part in the election. The activity was held in coordination with the DSSD and attended by DSSD Head Dr. Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga. The citywide gathering gave participating young representatives an opportunity to meet with peers from different barangays and take part in an organized selection process for their citywide representative leadership.

Janiella Tendoc Selected as Chairperson

During the election, Janiella Tendoc of Cabug National High School was chosen as the first Citywide Child Representative Chairperson of Bacolod City. Her selection establishes a citywide leadership role for child representatives participating in the program and provides a structure through which young representatives from different barangays can coordinate and participate in activities at the city level.

Preparing for the New Officers’ Oath-Taking

Following the election, the newly selected officers are expected to formally begin their responsibilities through an oath-taking ceremony. Mayor Greg Gasataya is scheduled to lead the oath-taking of the new officers. The development marks another step in organizing Bacolod’s citywide child-representative structure and bringing together young representatives from participating barangays.
