BOHOL — Governor Aris Aumentado and Second District Representative Van‑van Aumentado officially handed over a ₱5‑million two‑classroom school building to Tapal Integrated School in Barangay Tapal on July 24, 2026. The new facility is set to provide a safer and more comfortable learning environment for secondary students in this coastal community.
A Modern Learning Space for Students
The two‑classroom structure was built to address the growing need for adequate school facilities in the municipality. Designed to meet Department of Education standards, the building features spacious rooms, proper ventilation, and ample natural lighting. It replaces cramped, temporary learning spaces that students and teachers had long endured.
The project was funded through the national government’s Basic Educational Facilities Fund, championed by Congresswoman Aumentado. The Department of Public Works and Highways’ Second District Engineering Office supervised the construction, which was completed within its 128‑day timeline. The new classrooms now stand ready to accommodate incoming senior high school learners.
A Boost for Rural Education
Tapal Integrated School serves a broad catchment area in northern Bohol, drawing students from fishing and farming families. The additional classrooms will help reduce overcrowding and allow for a more focused instructional environment.
