The formal turnover ceremony took place on July 20, 2026, at the Governor’s Office in the Provincial Capitol Building, bringing together local chief executives and barangay representatives. This strategic funding allocation is designed to upgrade essential community facilities and address long-standing utility needs across municipal and barangay levels.
Major Funding Boost for Dagohoy Water Systems
The lion's share of the financial package—totaling ₱5 million—was directly awarded to the Municipality of Dagohoy. This substantial fund is earmarked for the comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrade of the municipality’s waterworks system. Local leaders emphasized that the project is vital for improving water service delivery, ensuring that rural families gain consistent access to safe, clean, and reliable water supply. By addressing this foundational utility need, the provincial government aims to improve public health standards and support the growing daily demands of households within the municipality.
Grassroots Support for Barangay Development
In addition to the municipal water project, the funding package addresses specific logistical needs across various grassroots communities. The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Cagawasan received ₱300,000, which will be utilized to purchase functional chairs, tents, and solar lights for youth and community activities. Meanwhile, Barangays Babag and San Miguel were granted ₱80,000 and ₱150,000, respectively, to procure tables and chairs for public use.
