Davao — The province of Davao del Norte is spotlighting its vibrant entrepreneurial spirit with the Davao del Norte MSME Development Week 2026, held from July 15 to 19. Centered on the theme “Paglambo ug Paglahutay: DavNor MSMEs Magmalig-on sa Kanunay,” the week-long celebration highlights the essential role of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as drivers of economic regeneration, job creation, and poverty reduction. By bringing together entrepreneurs, government agencies, and industry partners, the event provides a collaborative platform for business growth and innovation across the province.

Celebrating Local Innovation and Craftsmanship

At the heart of the celebration is the “Ato ni Buy Trade Expo,” where local enterprise owners showcase products ranging from handcrafted banana fiber bags to artisanal, locally grown coffee. The event serves as a vital showcase for unique DavNor products, allowing entrepreneurs to share their business journeys, network with potential partners, and discover new market opportunities. Highlights include the MUSA Fashion Show, which features exquisite banana fiber creations, and the Davao del Norte Coffee Fest, a testament to the province's expanding and dynamic coffee industry.

Equipping Entrepreneurs for Future Success

Beyond product exhibits, the week is packed with practical learning opportunities designed to help businesses scale and thrive. Aspiring and established entrepreneurs have access to a variety of capability-building sessions, including training on digital marketing, e-commerce, franchising, and financial literacy. These activities, paired with financing forums and technology exhibits, aim to equip local business owners with the tools necessary to navigate the shifting economic landscape and remain competitive in a digital-first market.

A Shared Commitment to Resilience

Organized by the Davao del Norte Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DDNCCII) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and local government units, the event reflects a unified commitment to inclusive and sustainable economic development. The celebration aligns with the national MSME Week theme, “Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-Ready MSMEs,” reinforcing the national government's focus on empowering small businesses. Through these collaborative efforts, Davao del Norte continues to strengthen the foundations of its local economy, ensuring that even the smallest ideas have the support they need to grow into thriving, resilient enterprises.
