SULOP, Davao del Sur — Governor Yvonne Cagas and Vice Governor Marc Cagas led the turnover of two newly concreted farm-to-market roads here on August 26, 2026. The improved routes promise smoother travel for residents and a fresh invitation for tourists seeking authentic rural charm.
A Boost for Farmers and Travelers
The newly completed roads include the Barangay Parami FMR, stretching 205.42 meters at a cost of ₱2,998,000. The second project, the Buguis-Latian Road Section, spans 397.5 meters with a price tag of ₱4,999,000. Both roads now offer better access between farming areas and neighboring communities.
Sulop Mayor Jimmy Sagarino joined the turnover ceremony, which also included District II members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. The projects directly benefit farmers who previously struggled to transport produce, especially during rainy months. The new concrete surfaces cut travel time and reduce spoilage, giving local agriculture a much-needed lift.
